William Whisenant is a Partner at Oestriecher Wealth Partners and represents part of the third generation of leadership guiding the firm forward. He is passionate about helping individuals and families clarify what matters most and align their financial decisions with the life they want to build.

Will graduated from Bolton High School in 2012 and soon after began his service in the United States Navy as a Nuclear Reactor Operator. After completing the Navy’s rigorous nuclear training program, he reported to the ballistic missile submarine USS West Virginia, where he played a key role in maintaining operational excellence within his division during a period of significant personnel turnover.

He was later assigned to Naval Nuclear Power Training Command, where he taught Digital Microprocessors to sailors progressing through the Navy’s demanding nuclear training pipeline. During this time, he was hand-selected to serve as a Section Leader—an influential leadership position typically held by more senior personnel. In that role, he mentored and developed more than 200 junior sailors both personally and professionally. His leadership contributed to one of his classes achieving the second-highest average GPA in the program's nearly 75-year history. Before concluding his military service, Will earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer.

While serving in the Navy, Will completed his Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering Technology in 2021, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and earning membership in the American Nuclear Honor Society. He later continued his education at the University of Georgia, earning his Master of Science in Financial Planning in August of 2025.

In August of 2022, Will and his family returned to Central Louisiana so their daughter, Evelyn, could grow up surrounded by family. That same year, he joined the Oestriecher family business. Drawing on the leadership, discipline, and mentorship he developed during his military career, Will quickly found a natural fit in helping clients organize their financial lives and pursue the goals that matter most to them.

Will and his wife, Liesl, welcomed their daughter Evelyn in November of 2020. They later welcomed their son, Emile Whisenant—named in honor of Liesl’s grandfather and the founder of the firm—continuing a legacy that is both deeply personal and professional. Outside the office, Will enjoys spending time with family and pursuing his passion for personal development and lifelong learning.
